Do you know the three tinning modes and connection modes of the terminal?

Wiring terminals are commonly used in connecting circuits. It is mainly used for electrical connection and signal transmission between devices and components, components and cabinets, and systems and subsystems, and attempts to prevent signal distortion and energy loss between systems. Terminals are widely used in computer, telecommunications, network communications, industrial electronics, transportation, aerospace, medical equipment and automotive industries.
Terminal puncture connection is also called insulation displacement connection. In the connection process, the cable does not need to strip the insulation layer. The front end of the U-shaped contact spring of the connecting terminal pierces the insulation layer, so that the conductor of the cable slides into the groove of the contact spring and is clamped, thus forming a tight electrical connection between the conductor of the cable and the spring connecting the terminal.
Terminal winding is to wrap the wire directly around the winding column of the Angle contact. In coiling, the wire is wound under controlled tension, pressed into and fixed at the corner of the coiling column of the contact, forming an airtight contact. Wire winding has several requirements: nominal value of wire diameter should be in the range of 0.25 mm ~1.0 mm, wire diameter is not greater than 0.5 mm, the elongation of the wire should not be less than 15%, when the wire diameter is greater than 0.5 mm, the elongation of the wire material should not be less than 20%. Winding tools include winding gun and fixed winding machine.
Terminal crimping is a technique for compressing and moving metal and connecting wires to contact pairs within a specified range. A good crimp connection produces a metal fusion flow that causes the wires and contacts to deform symmetrically against the material. This kind of connection is similar to cold welded connection, can obtain better mechanical strength and electrical continuity, and can withstand more harsh environmental conditions. At present, most agree that proper crimping is superior to welding, especially in high current conditions.
Terminal welding is usually referred to as tin welding, and it is important to create a metallic continuity between the solder and the surface to be welded. Therefore, weldability is important for connecting terminals. Tin alloy, silver, and gold are common coatings for connecting terminals. The common welded ends of reed contact pairs are welded plates, stamped welded plates and notched welded plates. The common welded end of the pinhole contact pair is drilled with a circular arc notch.
At present, our terminal market, mobile communication and Internet markets continue to increase temperature, and the connected terminal also shows a good trend of continuous rise. The current development trend of electronic information has created a broad space for the development of connector industry. With the continuous transfer of the manufacturing industry of household appliances, electronic information products, automobiles, mobile phones and so on to China, China has become the world's largest household appliances and information products manufacturing, consumer electronics, network design and communication terminal products, the output of rapid growth. As a result, demand for intermediate products such as terminals is growing rapidly. At present, China has become the world's fastest growing terminal market. With the increasingly high level of automation in industry one, the industrial control requirements are more and more strict and accurate, the use of terminal gradually increases.
Connector terminals should be surface treated, usually electroplating. There are two main reasons for electroplating connector terminals: one is to protect the base material of the terminal spring from corrosion; The other is to optimize the performance of the terminal surface, establish and maintain the contact interface between terminals, especially the film control. In other words, it makes it easier to make metal-to-metal contact.

Connector terminals can be tinned in three ways, namely, pre-tinning, pre-coating and electroplating. Tin is relatively soft, relatively cheap, and easy to solder, with a coating thickness of 2-12μm. Brass or bronze can be tinned at 110 degrees and steel at 190 degrees. Electroplating on connector terminals is a better electroplating method for existing electric contact parts. Soft, insoluble in acid, with good electrical conductivity. The plating thickness is usually 0.4-3.5μm.
